He is the definition of a true musician, knowing from a very young age, this is what I want to do!!! Rick Levy tells us in the title and through the story of his life that he is enjoying a fabulous life, yet is not famous. Reading through this book I couldn't help thinking that perhaps the fact that he is not famous is why he has been able to enjoy his journey all the more. Being a witness to rock and roll history, playing and rubbing elbows with legends, while not burdened with the (sometimes unrealistic) expectations and obligations of being a 'rock-star', has allowed him to focus on what's really important: the music and the joy he gets in playing. A great read!!!

Rick Levy did what most people wish they could have done, and followed his dreams ,and his love of music. For me, it was a walk down memory lane , reading about so many musicians from that era. A good read.

Reading this book was a great romp through the life of a musician. Levy not only has had an illustrious music career, but he keeps learning and adapting over the years to keep his creative lifestyle afloat. I would advise any budding artist to read this book and listen to his advice on how to do what you love most while also continually learning, adapting, and being open to going wherever opportunity takes you.

Wonderful journey of how one can find peace and satisfaction at many different levels of an industry. It seems as if Rick was able to judge his successes by his own barometer not the measure of others. There was humor and there was compassion and there was sorrow. I enjoyed this quick read.

For all of us 60's kids who had a garage band with one amp and a shared Mic, Rick lets us relive our childhood dreams. The insight into the music world was fascinating and I am glad he continues to rock the 60's.
